I designed the first version of my personal site when Flash was The Thing To Do, and sound effects didn’t drive everyone batty. I’m extremely fond of spark plugs as design objects, so I created an illustration of a spark plug for the central image, and animated it to flash and zap when the user moused over the navigation on the home page. This experience left users wondering if they were navigating a website or being electrocuted, but I was pretty proud of it at the time.
