Craft beer label: Get in the Van
Materials: coffee cup sleeve, pencil, scanner, label paper
In April of 2012, my partner and I brewed a batch of vanilla porter beer in Michigan with the guidance of the brewmaster at Saugatuck Brewing Company. The resulting cases of beer needed labels, so I sketched something on the inside of a coffee sleeve, based on a creepy old former ice cream truck that parks in our neighborhood. After scanning the image and some collage work on the computer, it was ready for printing on beer bottle labels for the release party with friends in June.
