Wood tile patio
Project Location: Chicago back yard
This back yard had an undefined expanse of lawn, and needed a focal point and seating area. A green Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Viridis’) came first, followed by a Star Magnolia (Magnolia stellata) and a wood tile patio. Next step: raised cedar planting beds on the perimeter of the patio for vegetables and perennials.
